Products Introduction

PED100-LN photoelectric detector is a device based on silicon photodiodes, of which the gain and bandwidth are adjustable. The photodiodes of the detector operate by absorption of photons and generate a flow of current in an external circuit, which converts the current into voltage for applications. The detector can be used to detect extremely weak change of the irradiated light, and can be calibrated for accurate measurements from intensities below 1pW/cm2 to intensities above 10mW/cm2. For convenient, the gain of detector is designed to be adjustable. The maximum gain for DC light signal is 107V/W while the maximum bandwidth for AC light signal is 1MHz. PED100-LN detector detects the light in DC coupling mode, the high sensitivity of gain is implemented by using a DC bias circuit to eliminate DC background of detected light signal. The detectors are utilized in such diverse applications as cold atom physics[1], laser spectroscopy[2], optical frequency standards[3], optical position sensors, beam alignment, laser range finders, and medical imaging instruments.
